permission by cell company to use underground conduit

by Dean
(san diego, CA)

Hi,
We received a letter from Verizon asking our permission to use a pre-existing underground conduit under our property to run their cables.
Please advice on whether to allow them with a fee or?
Thank you

If you push them too hard for a fee then they may look for a way around you to avoid using the conduit. However it can't hurt to ask them for a one-time payment of a few thousand dollars before the holidays. Maybe $5K. But it all depends on location. If you are in the exterior outlying areas that might be excessive vs. being in a populated urban / suburban area.
