problems with cell tower lease we sold

We sold our cell tower site to Unison in 2008 and our contract said, when new service was put on we would get 50-50, new service was put on spring 2014 and found out Unison does not own the site they sold to Global and they sold to American tower and we were told they do not honor the 50-50 since we don't have a contract with them.

My question is, how can they do this?? We thought Unison was an honest company and the guy who was a great salesman and talked us into selling, according to John A. we would be getting a lot of money later on, how sad they could scam an old couple who have worked hard on this farm and now are being told we will never get anything.

Is there anything we can do, we now have a $500 lawyer fee asking him to look at the contract and he said he talked to Unison and there is nothing we can do.
