Renegotiation of lease

by Cathy
(Michigan)

There has been a tower on our family property for 20 years which is now up for renegotiation. At the initial time, the property was in the name of only one sibling. Five years ago, a change of ownership was made to include all four surviving siblings. Is it possible for the tower company to accept the signature of the original owner or must ALL owners now sign the new contract?

Who must sign?
by: Sean (Tower Genius)

Cathy,

IF the names were changed on the deed you will need to have all owners sign the document or show proof that only one individual has the right to enter into agreements on behalf of the others.

Also, please make sure you have your extension reviewed by a wireless professional. We have found that in most cases cell tower lease renegotiations are where landlords leave the most money on the table and get taken advantage by the tower companies or wireless carriers.

Give us a call... talking to us for a few minutes could only help you and it does not cost you a dime.
