RE: Rooftop Antenna Sites NEW
by: Steve

Hello Muzi from South Africa...

What is the criteria to be taken into account when planning rooftop antennas?

Are you a building owner?

That depends on what the carriers are looking for. The most important criteria is a clear line of site to the area that the radio frequency (RF) engineers are trying to cover in order to improve their cellular networks.

Does your municipality or city have a zoning planning or development criteria for developing cellular communication sites? They may require the use of an existing structure such as a rooftop before allowing the construction of a new tower.

Good luck.
