Question about cell phone tower antennas on roof

by Roland
(DE)

I have about 900 square feet available on the roof and we are about 100 yards from a major interstate highway in Delaware. I don't think there are any cell towers for about 3/4 mile around us and I have bad reception with verizon at our building and one of our tenants with t-mobile also has poor reception. Do you think verizon might want to take a look at our building or t-mobile? Our roof''s elevation is about 30 feet high and there are no trees in front of us. Is this something your company can help us with? Where would they put the equipment if it doesn't fit on the roof?

Cell tower on your roof
by: Mary

I have 3 carriers on my roof, about 35 feet elevation and a thousand square feet. They put one of the equipment cabinet sets in a spare room in our basement, and put up a protective covering to shield the antennas from street view. I really could care less who sees them. There is a cell tower with 4 antennas about a half mile from us and they lined up to get on our building once the first antennas got approval. It's the BEST thing that ever happened to us!!!

Cellular antennas on your roof
by: Stu

Good question about the rooftop antennas. The cell phone companies no longer are going for "distance", they are looking to improve capacity. If VZW has a cell site 3/4 or even 1/2 mile away and they have enough traffic in the area, they very well might want to see if your rooftop improves their coverage. Same goes for T-mobile. As far as the area of your roof, the Verizon equipment shelter is a 360 foot square prefabricated box that they could place on the roof or even put somewhere on your property and run cables up to the antennas. Please fill out a contact form and someone will get in touch with you.
