Receiving a share of future wireless carrier add ons.

Our current ground lease does not allow any income for us (the ground lease owners) from future carriers added on the tower.
We have received several offers in the past years to purchase our ground lease. Most of these offers gave us a share of any carrier added on. We passed on these offers as they really didn't compare to what we would ultimately receive from our lease.
Do you feel that things have changed recently with huge buyouts by Crown Castle and others that there will be more requests to add on to existing towers?

Crown is throwing some money around to protect their long term interests on the property. If you do not need the money now I would suggest holding out until Crown has to come back to you to renegotiate your lease. When they do give us a call and we will make sure you get the best deal possible.
