Solar Energy....

by Joe Derasmo

I have three cellular sites (Sprint, Verizon Wireless, AT&T) on my rooftop in Bayonne, NJ. I have been approached by a company that wants to use the remaining portion of my roof for a solar "farm".

The roof is about 50,000 square feet in size.... will this be a problem for the existing cell sites from an interference problem or from a heat standpoint? Also do you know the rates currently paid for such an installation?

Joe,

I am very familiar with your property in Bayonne. It will make a great solar site!!! I actually negotiated the Verizon deal with the original owner back in the day.

So long as access to the equipment rooms and the antennas are provided for it is not a problem for the wireless carriers. The solar panels will not interfere with the antennas so long as they are not blocking them in some way.

We do know the rates as we deal with the top solar firms all the time. Give us a call and we can discuss your site specifically.
